    Purdue lands first 2004 player

Brina Pollack, a 5'7 junior point guard from Marlboro HS (NJ), committed to the Boilers on Monday. Pollack averaged 13.4 points, 3.5 assists and 4.3 steals as a junior, helping Marlboro to the Group IV state championship and a record of 26-3. For more information on Brina, including some early scouting from Blue Star two years ago, click on her player profile on this site.

    Krystle Hatton update

In speaking to Hazelwood East (MO) head coach Terry Creamer on Tuesday, Purdue has broken contact with the coaching staff regarding center Krystle Hatton.

"We haven't heard anything else from them," said Creamer. "I took that as a sign they weren't interested anymore."

Hatton does not need to worry about missing out on a college scholarship, however. She has two strong leaders at the moment in St. Louis and St. Johns.

    Another Juco?

Sources are telling us that Purdue is still involved with Trinity JC 6'2 forward Tiffany Thompson, despite the recent commitment from junior college forward Aya Traore. However, Oklahoma has been making a big push for her lately.

Sarah Elliott rumored down to two

Center Sarah Elliot of Jackson County (KY) reportedly has two clear favorites at the moment -- Purdue and Tennessee.
